Why You Should Adopt a New Best Friend?

Unconditional Love

Adopting a dog gives you a chance to come home to someone who can’t wait to see you, that doesn’t care if you said unkind words before you left the house that morning. All they care about is protecting you, spending time with you, and showing you how much they care. They do depend on you for their food, water, and a safe environment to call their home, but otherwise have very low expectations from you while still looking at you like you just met the highest standards possible.

Protection

Never fear if your best friend is near! Your dog is like your bodyguard, no one gets to you without going through them. Even very laid back dogs will come alert if they sense their master/best friend is being threatened. Of course, the bigger the dog the more convincing they can be, but even little dogs can be great protectors.

A reason to get up everyday

Let’s face it, sometimes life gets us down! On those days, having a pet means you still have to get up and take care of your best friend. They still need to go outside to the bathroom and they need food and water. The best part about this is why you are caring for their daily needs, they will be caring for your emotional needs. Being loved and needed, even by your pet, makes you feel better about life and ready to tackle the hard times ahead.

A Best Friend

I don’t know about you, but I talk to my pet just like she is my best friend. The great thing about that is they don’t talk back. I don’t have to hear about why I am wrong or what I should do differently like if they were my human best friend! My pet listens, tries to get closer to me to give me a love, and then often falls asleep. But while you are sad, their main purpose is to love you up and make you feel better, and who doesn’t need a best friend that gives you that type of time, attention, and care.
